Inti Gallardo is an experimental artist and filmmaker whose work explores the tension between the analog and the digital, examining the materiality of images, archives, and memory. She holds a degree in Film and TV from the National University of Córdoba (Argentina) and a Master's in Media Art from the University of Chile and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Gallardo recently completed her Meisterschülerin in Art and Media at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), where she was nominated for the UdK President’s Prize.
Throughout her career, she has directed documentaries showcased at festivals and cultural spaces worldwide, including Parque Centenario (2010), which received a special mention at MARFICI, and Kaffee Morgentau (2015). In 2019, she participated as editor in the Berlinale Shorts competition with the film Héctor.
Beyond her cinematic work, Gallardo has served as general producer on notable artistic projects, such as the Harddiskmuseum by Solimán López, and the International Festival of Sound Art, TSONAMI, in Valparaíso. She has also contributed to television productions like Violetta (Disney Channel) and ad campaigns for Volkswagen and AXA.
In her recent projects, Gallardo investigates the symbiopoetic qualities of lichens, exploring how these organisms inspire new forms of collaboration and coexistence. This work continues a central approach in her career: using the image as a living archive, a tool for reconstructing historical narratives and opening pathways toward possible futures.
Her work has been presented in various art spaces and festivals, including the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival in Berlin, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, and through artist residencies such as Villa Waldberta in Munich, SCHIESSLHAUS AiR in Germany, and SONOSCOPIA in Portugal. She is a member of the art collectives ANCORA Coop and the Experimental Film Collective CEIS8.
